Directions
Midhurst is on the A272 between Petworth and Petersfield, and on the A286 between Haslemere and Chichester. Follow the brown tourist signs for Cowdray.
Are there any shopping facilities?
This is currently under review, but we anticipate there will be some Christmas shopping available and Light up Trail merchandise.
Is the trail accessible for wheelchair users?
The Light Up trail has been designed to be as accessible as possible, most of the route is on hard standing paths with some uneven surfaces and steps that are not level. The trail is approximately one mile in length and if you find walking or being outside challenging then this may not be the trail for you, as it will take at least an hour maybe more. It is a 5-minute walk from North Car Park to the ticketing entrance and an 8-minute walk from Midhurst Rother College to the entrance of the trail. There is however uneven ground and no hard standing in the forest areas. If you have mobility requirements, please ensure you can get around unaided or have a carer for support. We long for it to be accessible to everyone but fold up Wheelchairs will not make it through the forest area, and we highly recommend you bring a four-wheel drive or a motorised wheelchair. If it rains, it may get muddy, and access may be challenging in the forest areas. Our stewards are on hand to give support and advise when needed.
What to do if you have a complaint.
It is always better if you can let us know straight away. Most complaints can be sorted out quickly by a member of our on-site team and they will welcome the opportunity to do this if possible. If it is not possible to complain during your visit you can contact Light Up Trails through the Contact support
Are there toilets on the Light Up Trail?
Toilets are available along the Light Up Trail
Fuel and Power
The use of fuel and wattage is kept to a minimum for all our installations.
