Light Pollution
The Light Up Trail has been designed by experienced lighting and event designers who have developed ways of working in a range of outdoor landscape settings. We want to encourage visitors to reconnect with nature and the natural environment. The best visual work is sensitive to light pollution and we aim to take advantage of the darkness to reduce the overall brightness of our installations. We encourage audiences to adjust to the darkness as they walk through the trail. We try to avoid continuous lighting of trails and paths and will only use audience lighting where it is necessary to do so. The equipment has been installed using professionally recommended methods and the installations are curated to integrate within the site. We do not foresee any adverse effect on wildlife, and we also try to think about the next generation.
