This year we return to the magnificent Cowdray Park in Midhurst, West Sussex with a brand new outdoor light trail. It’s a winter walk like no other and it promises to be BIGGER and BETTER than ever before!  And guess what? Santa is coming too!

Come and experience the multi-sensory ‘Enchanted Black Pond’, the kaleidoscopic ‘Electric Garden’ and the immersive ‘Laser Forest’ finishing with shimmering ‘Winter Wonderland’ and the magical ‘Night before Christmas’ projection under the backdrop of the Castle Ruins and much more! Children can meet Santa in our beautifully decorated castle room grotto.  And Joy Village is back again with lots of delicious street food, spicy winter warmers and a funfair!

Pricing

Christmas at Cowdray opens weekly from Wednesday to Sunday, between December 1st - December 31st, 2022 with the exception of Christmas week where we are open every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.   You can book a time slot every 15 minutes from 4:15pm - 7.30pm.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.  Under 2’s go free.

Santa’s Grotto opens 3:30pm to 7:00pm as above and is closed from 25th December onwards. All children must be accompanied by a minimum of one adult.  Babes in arms go free, when accompanied by a child and an adult.

All ticket prices include See Tickets’ Booking Fee.  Parking is not included in the ticket price and reserved parking in our designated car park is optional, but recommended. Complimentary carer tickets are available, please see terms and conditions in Ticket Advice. Please be advised prices may vary depending on a range of promotions and offers throughout the year.

Where to find us

Midhurst is on the A272 between Petersfield and Petworth and on the A286 between Haslemere and Chichester.  The light trail entrance is accessed near the Cowdray Farm Shop. The entrance to the light trail is by Cowdray Woods, located behind the Event Car Park.  Santa’s Grotto is located in the Castle Room, accessed via the golden walled garden next to Cowdray Ruins.  The nearest postcode is GU29 0AJ.  The light trail cannot be accessed from any other location including from any other gate.

Parking

Our privately managed event car park can be accessed from A272 Cowdray Farm Shop entrance, open from 4:00pm to 9:45pm and is available for a maximum of a 2 hour stay.  This is an 8-minute walk from the start of the trail and a 10-minute walk from the exit. 

There are 2 electric vehicle charging points in the Cowdray Farm Shop overflow car park. More info on public car parks in Midhurst can be found here
