The Light Up trail has been designed to be as accessible as possible, most of the route is on hard standing paths and is approximately one mile in length. There is however uneven ground and no hard standing in the forest areas. If it rains, it may get muddy, and access may be difficult in this area. Four-wheel drive buggies are advisable.
The light trail is designed to be as accessible as possible but much of the trail is in a wooded area. This is a mix of uneven ground, some slopes with little or no hardstanding. It is NOT suitable for fold-down wheelchairs. We highly recommend you bring a four-wheel-drive or a motorized wheelchair. The trail is approximately one mile in length and if you find walking or being outside challenging then this may not be the trail for you, as it will take at least 45 minutes, maybe more. If you have mobility requirements, please ensure you can get around unaided or have a carer for support. If it rains, it may get muddy, and access can be challenging in the forest areas. Please ensure you wear appropriate winter footwear.
Whilst no single source of lighting regularly strobes at high frequency, the volume of light fixtures in some areas could raise the frequency of light flashes and strobing across multiple sources to a level where it may be considered unsafe for people who are affected by photo-sensitive epilepsy.
Of course, you are welcome to bring your own mobility scooter.
No, these are not permitted.
