Led by multi award-winning projection artist Ross Ashton, The Projection Studio specialise in stunning, large format projections onto buildings, interesting spaces and structures. Since 1994, their work has been seen by millions around the world and their projections have illuminated events as diverse as commemorative state occasions, corporate presentations, theatrical experiences and music spectaculars from rock to classical and back again.
Ross’s instinctive understanding of the relationship between artwork and structure, light and surface, object and subject produces work that never fails to be thought provoking, moving and exhilarating. His specially commissioned son et lumière works have received worldwide attention.
Architectural Projection is seen as the new ‘fireworks’ and The Projection Studio’s 3D video projection mapping can transform any surface – buildings, vehicles, even landscape – to create a complete experience in light and sound.
Their work has been seen at the international events including Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, Berlin Light Festival, Napa Lighted, Leeds Light Night, Light Up Poole, e-Luminate Festival and Lumière Durham.
